Biographies
Randall Mittelstaedt
Randy
has been involved in fundamental analysis of commodity markets
for 17 years, specializing in grains and oilseeds. He joined
R.J. O’Brien in February 2000 and is responsible for fundamental
analysis of the grains and oilseeds markets for the Commercial
Agri-Business Group. As the Director of Research, he is
regularly relied upon to aid in risk management and hedging
decisions for commercial clients based on his analysis of
the macro factors impacting the grain markets. Randy has
given numerous presentations to industry groups and agri-business
clients relative to his analysis and outlook of the futures
markets and is regularly relied upon by national media as
an expert in grain futures markets. Prior to R.J. O’Brien,
Randy was Senior Grains Analyst for Merrill Lynch for over
seven years, providing all fundamental research in coarse
grains and wheat. He started his career as an analyst with
Shearson Lehman Brothers in Chicago. Randy received a degree
in Finance from Illinois State University.
David Toth
Dave
joined R.J. O’Brien as the Director of Technical Research
in April 2007 following a career that began in 1981 at Geldermann,
Inc. where he provided technical research and sales services
to institutional users of financial futures and options
until 1995. After stints at Optima Research, Harris Futures,
and TJM Institutional Services, Dave served as Director
of Technical Research, Foreign Exchange & Metals at
UBS Investment Bank from 1998 to 2005 before leaving for
an emerging CTA. Dave has counseled institutional clients
on technical analysis in workshops around the world and
on an intra-day trading basis and brings this expertise
to R.J. O’Brien in covering the commodity, interest
rate, FX, and equity asset classes utilizing momentum, sentiment,
Fibonacci, and Elliott Wave technical disciplines. Dave
graduated from Purdue University with a B.S. in Business
Management/Finance.
Andrew Koretz
Andrew
Koretz joined R.J. O’Brien as a research analyst in
May 2008. Andrew graduated from the Pennsylvania State University
with a B.S. in Agricultural Business Management.
